Last updated 7th November 2011

Wendy has been interviewed on BBC Radio 4’s Women’s Hour & Radio 3's In-Tune, as she rather unusually released two solo albums of music from two different genre’s in one year; classical and jazz. The launch of her album "First Flight" was signed to First Hand Records and received a sold out performance in London.

As a classical singer Wendy has appeared with many leading orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic and Tonhalle Orchestra, the Tokyo and American Symphony Orchestras, the London Sinfonietta and the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, a performance recorded for Deutsche Gramophone and described by the Telegraph as an "Exceptionally fine release." She’s also performed Ollie Fox's score in the Royal National Theatre's recent three month production of 'Women Beware Women'.

She is a regular concert soloist around the UK and as well as recitals has performed most of the oratorio repertoire: Mozart Mass in C minor, Exsultate Jubilate & Requiem, Mendelssohn Elijah, Poulenc Gloria, Haydn Nelson Mass, Handel Messiah, Vivaldi Gloria, Rutter Magnificat, Beethoven Mass in C, Bach St Matthew's Passion, Magnificat in D & the Christmas Oratorio & Faure’s Requiem.

Previously she spent five years touring with a cappella group The Swingle Singers, with whom she recorded five albums and sang at La Scala, Milan and Chatelet, Paris.

She was vocal coach to Michael Caine on his film 'Is Anybody There?' and her studio work includes recording for Bryn Terfel, Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, and film sound tracks including Star Wars III, Lord of the Rings, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Harry Potter.

Last updated 7th November 2011

Wendy has made a name for herself as an extraordinary versatile vocalist. Recently she released her album First Flight, now signed by First Hand Records. The album launch received a sold out performance at the Pizza Express Dean Street, Soho, was featured on BBC Radio 4’s Women’s Hour & Radio 3's In Tune and was reviewed by Classical Source as "A star in the making? On the basis of this evening, don’t doubt it." The album has gone on to be a featured Cd on UK Jazz Radio (Reviewed as "Definitely one of the best singers in an overcrowded field"), and is distributed worldwide.

As a performer Wendy has sung with many of the country's leading jazz musicians including performances in London with Digby Fairweather and Denys Baptiste, at the Southend International Jazz festival with Dame Cleo Laine, for the British Jazz Foundation in Harlow, the Jazz Cafe in London, and the Stables in Wavendon. Wendy works regularly with singer-songwriter-guitarist Valentin Gerlier, touring in Italy, Austria & the UK, including a performance at Florence's beautiful Theatre Del Sale and she performed Ollie Fox's jazzy score in the Royal National Theatre's recent 3 month production of 'Women Beware Women'.

She first made a name for herself as a local jazz artist in Birmingham in the 90's while studying classical singing at the Birmingham Conservatoire. On moving to London she joined world renowned jazz a cappella group The Swingle Singers, with whom she recorded five albums and performed at jazz festivals, concert halls and venues across the globe including La Scala Milan, Chatelet Paris and Ronnie Scotts in London.
